Understanding the service
Peptide identity testing
Identity testing assesses whether the analytical evidence is consistent with the expected material under the agreed method. Share the precise peptide name, modifications and formulation so intake can assess the appropriate scope.
Evidence for the expected material
Depending on the agreed scope, mass-spectrometric findings can contribute identity evidence. NIST’s peptide work describes the use of measured fragmentation spectra and reference information in peptide identification. Ask which evidence and comparison criteria your requested analysis will include.
The certificate should reflect the analysis actually completed. A compound name supplied on an order or vial label is not an analytical identity result.
Read the identity conclusion with its limits
A molecular-mass match alone should not be treated as complete sequence or structural proof. Related structures may require additional discrimination. The primary peptide study linked below includes distinct designed peptides with identical calculated molecular weights.
Identity evidence is also different from chromatographic purity and measured content. If you need those findings, confirm that they are included in the selected testing request.
Confirm your request before shipping
Provide the exact expected material, sample format, known modifications and blend components. Contact intake about reference information, method suitability and sample requirements before arranging shipment.
Review current services and prices, then create your online request with the agreed analyses. A portfolio listing does not guarantee that every identity question can be resolved by the available method.
